CHARACTERS

MOUSE

BOY

 

 

MOUSE and BOY enter.

 

MOUSE: You know friend I love movies. Will you watch a movie with me?

 

BOY: Yes, I will watch a movie with you.

 

Boy exits, gets movie and then enters.

 

BOY: Here, Mouse. A fun Christmas movie … just for you.

 

MOUSE: Oh, boy! A movie just for me! How wonderful! Thank you!

 

MOUSE exits, drops movie and then enters.

 

MOUSE: May I have some popcorn? I can’t watch a movie without popcorn.

 

BOY: Yes, you may.

 

BOY exits and returns with popcorn.

 

BOY: Here, Mouse. A bag of popcorn … just for you.

 

MOUSE: Oh, boy! A bag of popcorn for me! Yum! Thank you!

 

MOUSE exits, drops the popcorn, then enters.

 

MOUSE: May I have some string? I’d like to string the popcorn together to hang on my Christmas tree while I watch my movie!

 

BOY: Yes, you may.

 

BOY exits and returns with string.

 

BOY: Here, Mouse. A string … just for you.

 

MOUSE: Oh, boy! String just for me! Wonderful! Thank you!

 

MOUSE exits, drops the string, then enters.

 

MOUSE: Hmmmm….May I have a Christmas tree? I don’t have anything to hang my popcorn on!

 

BOY: Yes, you may.

 

BOY exits and returns with small tree.

 

BOY: Here, Mouse. A mouse sized tree … just for you.

 

MOUSE: Oh, boy! A tree just for me! It’s perfect. Thank you!

 

MOUSE exits, drops tree, then enters.

 

MOUSE: May I have some music to listen to please? Seeing the tree makes me think of Christmas music. I can’t decorate the tree without music.

 

BOY: Yes, you may.

 

BOY exits and returns with music.

 

BOY: Here, Mouse. Music… just for you.

 

MOUSE: Oh, boy! Music just for me! I can’t wait to sing along! Thank you!

 

MOUSE exits, drops the music, then enters.

 

MOUSE: May I have some paper and glue? Singing those songs made me think about making more decorations for my tree.

 

BOY: Yes, you may.

 

BOY exits and returns with paper and glue.

 

BOY: Here, Mouse. Paper and glue … just for you.

 

MOUSE: Oh, boy! Paper just for me! This will do the job nicely! Thank you!

 

MOUSE exits, drops the paper, then enters.

 

MOUSE: May I have some glitter? I can’t put them up unless they’re beautiful.

 

BOY: Yes, you may.

 

BOY exits and returns with glitter.

 

BOY: Here, Mouse. Glitter … just for you.

 

MOUSE: Thank you! Now, let’s take a look at the tree. Hey the popcorn string is missing. I’ll need to make another one. May I have some popcorn?

 

BOY: Of course.

 

MOUSE: You know having this popcorn makes me think of just one more thing.

 

BOY: What mouse?

 

MOUSE: May I have a movie?
